Casa São Bento

We stayed five nights in a downstairs room. The AC worked very well and our room was clean. For €70 a night, this was an excellent hotel. The building is very nice and safe with a lock to get into each apartment block, and another code to get into each room. Yes there is a prison next door but there was only minimal noise in the late morning one day. Breakfast is not included as it says on google and is €9 per person which in my opinion is well overpriced for a buffet that has some fruit, coffee, bread, cheese, and ham. The house is also somewhat far from the city’s main attractions. It’s a 10 minute walk to the university and a 25 minute walk with lots of incline to the churches and museums
