I was lucky enough to be recomended off grid yoga school by my yoga teacher whilst looking for a yoga teacher training course. I chose to do my yoga teacher training here and was overwhelmed with every aspect of this place. This school exceeded all expectations, the course was well planned, with a variety of teachers all having a refreshing, interesting and individual perspective on yoga and teaching, the course felt very nourishing and holistic as the location is set amongst beautiful nature; mountains, creek and river, with a warm community, vibrant and delicious locally sourced meals and an incredible sauna and natural pool. This place is really an amazing place to come to nurture yourself. Whether its for relaxation or to take part in a course, i can't recomend it enough. Every aspect is so beautifully considered, thank you Cara Creek Lodge for a truly mind blowing experience.

This remote valley in Portugal is all I could want for a yoga retreat in beautiful nature. The owners have established a well run organisation by hiring in staff to provide classes, meals and activities such as massages, cooking classes and meditation walks. Tom, our yoga teacher coped well with a wide age range (23-72)of participants urging us to be mindful of what our bodies were telling us and what we were capable of doing. There were two yoga sessions per day which by the time we climbed the steep path to the yoga room and dining room we were already well exercised. My gut reacted in a positive way to the change to a largely vegan diet. Themeditation walks led by Andrew reminded us of our strong connection to nature and how by walking in the countryside we could raise our awareness of our bodies and the possibilities of using our senses to enjoy more of what life offers.

Um sitio lindo, rodeado pela Natureza. Aonde um rio faz questão de marcar presença, e a passagem das suas àguas. Muito acolhedor, romântico, duma beleza ùnica. Aonde a magia do silêncio se une ao canto dos pássaros. Aconselho vivamente!

Serra Vida is truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. The surrounding nature is mesmerizing, including a river you can swim in, and the guest houses are just really cozy and comfortable (with small wood ovens). Especially people who love art and music will be taken by this place, since there are some beautiful art pieces, beautifully crafted furniture, and big jam sessions. Also, the hosts and owners made me feel really welcome there and helped out if questions arose. All in all, a really inspiring experience, and I hope to stay longer next time!

I spent a week in this gorgeous place and i will definitely come back!! In the middle of the wild, first line to the river with an endless silence.The couple that run the place is very sweet and welcoming and responded very quickly for any questions or need.HUGE PLUS - Akila, the dog of the place, is super sweet and within seconds became my dog’s best friend :)

Belind was a very gracious host. Her second hand shop is full if little treasures and in time I think it will be quite popular. She also sells her own olive oil made from olives grown on her property which makes it a little more special than the commercial brands. There are also yoga classes and art classes, specialising in using the abundance of nature in the area.

I am a healing therapist and I spent a few days giving healing sessions in this magnificent holistic space with an incredibly healthy energy for the soul.This retreat has so much to offer: beautiful places to be able to perform various types of therapies, meditations, workshops. It also has many places for relaxation and leisure - a great garden, swimming pool and rooms for socializing and reading.All the architecture is beautiful and has excellent accommodation.I see the Brejo Fundeiro Retreat as an oasis in a desert, but in this case, the desert is also inspiring with a lot to explore around.The food is vegetarian and extremely well prepared.Hosts Keith and Torsten, are two beautiful people with huge hearts.Thank you for all you have to offer.Love, Paulo Rocha
